Summary is that 3000 houses to be built

Not quite. This is part of the "Local Plan" for housing which most local authorities are required to have prepared (and updated).

Whether it actually happens is subject to a whole lot of variables, but it's right to be concerned and to raise the potential threat early.

It specifically mentions the noise impact of the A303 in the 'draft' plan

They also raise the issue that a proposed school could have, that parents dropping off children could slow traffic which could lead to delays on the A303.... however no mention of the existing usage of the field with all the benefits (employment and otherwise) that it brings.....

Another dose of garbage and waffle from people who only talk about doing things rather than actually doing. Plenty of talk about heritage and leisure while they totally ignore the current use of the land. Anyone would think it was unused from this document.
I particularly like the “requirement” for a net gain of 10% in biodiversity - how on earth do they plan to measure that? And what if it doesn’t happen?
Yet again more waffle about “active travel” while ignoring the fact that people don’t actually want to walk or cycle most places, old people cannot, parents don’t allow kids to do it, weekly shopping requires a car (where is the nearest superstore?), visiting hospital etc needs a car, bus services never go where you need them when you need them. Local employement is all very well but only a small proportion of residents will be able to bring a job with them - most need to go somewhere else.
It would take somebody very rich and very determined to resist the lure of tens of millions (maybe hundreds) to fight the development. Popham is gone………….where on earth can those resident aircraft go?

Whoever has the copyright to that Popham pic showing a fly-in when they almost ran out aircraft parking space needs to include that pic on a response about having an active Popham airfield and the potential aircraft noise, and include the current map of traffic patterns for all runways. Also the requirements for glide clear if the engine fails.

It should be a requirement this kind of information is given to house buyers near any GA airfield, which will likely put people off buying the houses, which in turn will put off house builders making the higher risk investment.
