Primarily for general aviation discussion, but other aviation topics are also welcome.

 I was a moderator on Historic all through the forum's finest hour, the Burma Spitfire comedy.

Update and some background…

- We encountered some issues with a forum installation on testing that was only resolved yesterday afternoon
- We can now begin to resolve the BB code/other forum issues
- If it was as simple as just switching it on, we would have done it a long time ago
- For the frustrated posters who don't look at much of the rest of the site, please understand that there are literally tens of thousands who do, many of whom do not look at the forum
- This has not been an easy journey, and I have certainly made mistakes and learned lessons on the way.
- We are focussing on the fixes, and the forum issues are at the top of the list right now
- The forum in its present form isn’t as user friendly as normal, but it’s still functional and discussions are on-going. We’d rather put up with it like this for a short while longer, accepting it’s less than ideal, than have no forum at all

It may be next week before everything is tested and switched on.

I'm not around very much over the next few days, so any updates may be sporadic or non existent. We are on it, and we are moving as fast as we can.

Thanks

Ian

Well, of course it isn't that simple.
Everyone knows that you have to switch it off before you switch it back on :D

Sadly not your imagination…it's being worked on

Hopefully we'll see some results before too long

Thanks
