I have twin Dynon Avionics screens in my aircraft, D100 EFIS & D120 EMS. They have been operating well for nearly nine years now but recently the D100 has been playing up and the screen going off during flight for no apparent reason. Got the usual steam gauges as back-up so no real problem. I have been reading about an internal back-up battery for the D100 and was wondering if anyone here has experience of changing this or had similar problems with their Dynon screens.

I wouldn't have thought the backup battery had anything to do with the display going off.
Was it just the display going off? Or did it look like it was restarting?

Go onto the Dynon forum and describe the symptoms. You will get replies from others and probably Dynon within a day or so. They are a very friendly crowd with great support.
