Just under 55 hours this year. That's probably about 2/3 of what I would usually do by now. This has been mainly locals in my permit Bolkow Junior. I still get a lot of pleasure from turning up at the airport, just taking off and bimbling around for an hour or so, landing and going home again.
Actually I'm really very happy and a bit surprised to find I'm still flying regularly at 65. but I've lost a lot of enthusiasm for going anywhere far afield partly because trying to ward off impending type 2 Diabetes with dietary measures means that I can't really have cake or a burger at the other end.
I usually do a European tour each year in a PA28 shareoplane with a mate but that didn't happen last year and probably isn't happening this year. We might manage Scotland though.
Highs, renewing my IR(r) and MEP ratings (not as if I ever really use either) and renewing my Robinson R22 Rating after a few years not flying helicopters.
Lows, damaging the very same Robinson R22 engine with a stupid beginner type error on my second post rating renewal self fly hire flight. Sorry guys
