Ever since Dr Barbara Moore set out from John O’ Groats to do the walk to Lands End in the early 60s, there has been increasing numbers doing the “end to end”. They’ve walked, run, done it on horseback, a “penny farthing”, nude, and every combination you can think of. They arrive several times a week during the summer and it’s a “FFS over there” - locals indicating to the “sign”.
It’s getting the same with round the world jollies.

If I ever get to fly around the world, I certainly wont be the youngest person to do it and I absolutely do not want to be the quickest... In fact I would like to be the slowest with the most meandering route... is there a prize for that
