The true story is that BA pilots were sent out during flights

Who exactly do you imagine gets to ‘send’ pilots out of the flight deck during flights?

Just to ask customers how much they paid for their tickets!

Semantics:

Former Duxford Concorde DAS Volunteer Steward : Met several Ex Concorde Captains during my long hours pontificating to the great unwashed: needed to have facts straight to satisfy smart-ar se questions, usually from Americans.
(Any ex Concorde captains out there now?)

There's a mention for a forum ite too.

I think that certain BBC news editors have said forumite on speed dial these days! Still, hopefully he speaks less nonsense than a certain past editor of Flight, who is the other "usual suspect" on BBC speed dial.

Nice to see them start with the TSR2 and work up.

Is it a coincidence that the TSR2 at Duxford is parked directly next to Concorde?

Did they measure both while they were there ?

So we appear to have a supersonic aircraft running on used chip fat that doesn’t produce any carbon emissions, the American sonic bang is not as loud as a British sonic bang.
Seat prices will be the same as Easy Jet for the great unwashed.
Brilliant, give that man a coconut! :D

The Olympus engines powered most of our warships, ( including the carriers ) once the age of steam had passed. A spare engine was always hung up in the engineroom as a spare. The gearbox clagged on to them was the size of a bliddy house ! Bristol Siddeley were ahead of the game in the early days.
