Or Tatenhill. Although that might reveal the ugly truth to the newbies based there, and they'd run away screaming.

It wasn't until I realised that even at my advanced age, I was among the youngest of many of the regular contributors here, that I realised why some of my comments over the years have been more controversial than I expected. On the plus side, though, when I realised that, I didn't care any more ;)

I flew Coventry - Dijon on a handheld.

@Paul_Sengupta once flew from Bourne Park to Saucats and back using a tin can and a bit of string.

Well, it's the only explanation I have that makes sense of the observed facts, anyway.

(Actually, I shouldn't be rude to him; I still remember being met at the aircraft with a cold beer less than 10 seconds after shutting down. :thumleft: )

I’m not organising the fly in at Sleap nor on the airfield management team, but my aircraft is based there.
Sleap airfield cafe is probably not easily accessible for wheelchair users as it’s on first floor of tower. However there are tables outside in front of tower and toilet facilities for disabled access.
I’m sure any disabled flyer would be most welcome at Sleap and I’m sure we could provide any help needed by the pilots on the day.

There may be eateries but unless you go in mid winter the lengths of the food queues , since you must mingle with the great unwashed and their kids, would make your eyes water.

Personally I'd skip Duxford, but agree it could well be the choice of many.

And the price charged for food at Duxford is equally eye watering :!:

Highly recommend exiting via staff entrance and nipping across the road to The Mess Cafe in the old Officers' Mess for some reasonably priced grub. Open Mon - Fri 12pm - 2pm.
