Hello there.
We are planning on ferry flying from Portugal to Denmark.
Does anyone have any experience with flying in a foreign ultralight through Spanish and French FIR? We discovered online, that flying in Spanish FIR can be quite strict with foreign ultralights (max 1000 ft AGL and 15 days application prior to entry). Does anyone know if this is enforced in reality? Will it also be applicable if just crossing Spanish FIR?
We haven't looked into requirements in the French FIR in detail yet.
Germany and Denmark won't be an issue for us.
If anyone is extremely eager to propose a route for us for LPVZ to EKHG, please go ahead We will be cruising at 110 knots with a 6 hour endurance (0.75-1 hour reserve preferred). We were planning on a fuel stop in France (UL91/mogas preferred) and a layover in Germany. It would also be great to make a stop on the East coast of Spain to catch some sun (depending on the difficulty of flying in Spanish FIR), but definitely not a priority.
Also, if anyone knows about a forum with ultralight pilots with experience flying abroad, then please let us know.
Any help and tips is appreciated. Thanks!
