The obvious place to start is with the flying club organisations at Reykjavik airport. I was in contact with a local Icelandic pilot on Flyer at one point. He sent me a VFR paper chart for Iceland. I’ll see if I can find his forum name. He may be able to help. You’ll find that there are very few trees and bushes on Iceland, but some amazing flying to be had.

Glacier flying and almost anything that is fun and away from zillions of Chinese tourists is in the North, as far from Reykjavik as you can get.

I hired a 172 from the FBO at Reykjavik in the early naughties.

Not sure what you think the bush flying entails in Iceland. There are plenty of unimproved strips out there and the flying is interesting on account of the landscape but none of the strips we did had the challenge of proper bush strips as you find in other places.

He's a commercial pilot as well as a GA and historic aircraft enthusiast.

Sigurjon Valsson - I think he has a Facebook presence.
