Primarily for general aviation discussion, but other aviation topics are also welcome.

Also what does "salary depends on level of responsibility undertaken" mean?
Would you apply for a job where the level of responsibility wasn't clear?
Well maybe - but I wouldn't!

It'll be along the lines of "as much as is necessary but as little as possible", probably looking for someone who's primary motivation is not the money.

I believe it is incorrect to state that this is the first GPS approach to a FISO airfield in the UK. There are several in the Scottish Islands

Nonetheless it was a major breakthrough after lots of hard work despite the stonewalling from the CAA.

I think a more accurate statement would be First GPS approach granted under CAP1122.

The HIAL units were treated more leniently as they effectively replaced the old discrete NDB let downs designed may years ago for Loganair.

almost appears to be written for someone.....

Yeah - seems like for a senior FISO with aerodrome ops and managerial responsibilities and knows the place well as opposed to an aerodrome ops manager with oversight of FISOs. :-D
