One of my early checkouts was with Andy Aldridge in the Jodel 105A Ambassadeur out of Blackbushe.
My landings had to be good and straight as he could not fit his legs under the panel to reach the rudder pedals.

Edit: Iceman has an MX 5 as well....

Just for the avoidance of doubt, that's me and not JAFO!

And I have driven that MX5 with the top on. I think there was a bump in the headlining where my head was poking up but I did manage to drive it, just about.

Tiger Moth is breezy but that's part of the fun, Stearman is okay, Morane Saulnier MS317 was fine. More than happy to research any others that people can offer :thumright:

Time was that Stearman hire was available from Swanton Morely. Not any more I fear, though Touchdown at Old Buckenham seem to have become the centre of the small Boeing maintenance universe.
