You used the 'wind up' method on the computer and then determined the reciprocal to get the wind direction. Firstly, this adds an unnecessary arithmetical step which is potentially unwise when the multiple choice options are separated by only 10 degrees. Secondly, if you use the 'wind down' method then the wind direction is read from the top of the instrument, as you would for heading or track. I usually caveat things by saying 'in my opinion' but in the case of 'wind up' versus 'wind down', I'm willing to categorically say that 'wind down' is the better technique.

I would have thought that the point is to learn to get an accurate result, not the nearest to an exam question.
