Whatever you think of his methods, before C19, he oversaw one of the most profitable airlines. Providing work for thousands of people. Many others went bust without making unpopular radical change.

Or the customer, as a frequent flyer across Europe spending more than 3 weeks a month travelling as my day job I started using BA less & less. Paying for food & drinks on board, poor service in myriad ways. Also some insanely expensive flights where the competition was much lower, whilst pre-C19 my company were pretty flexible with flight costs but sometimes I couldn't warrant the extra cost of BA.
