It would rather depend on whether it was in his RFC/WW1, his interwar or postwar 'Air Detective'/'Special Air Police' and/or freelance investigator, or his WW2 RAF career phases ..

Of course, the same question might be asked about Worrals :wink:

I bought one second hand and even though I fly on my own from a farm strip I'm yet to wear it in case I look like a Yak jockey.

However my flying machine is draughty and I have had a smoke in the cockpit episode a couple of years ago from a wiring issue so I really ought to use it.

Maybe I should post a photo of myself in it and get all the p1$$ taking over with before I actually do.
