WEEKEND WEATHER FORECAST

SATURDAY
=========
A ridge of high pressure builds over the UK on Saturday as low pressure and associated fronts approach western Ireland.
There will be broken cloud and sunny spells through the morning for all areas, the bestow the sunshine always in the east. A low risk of isolated showers in more central and northern parts of England and Scotland, but generally dry. Increasing cloud on Saturday morning, together with stronger winds in western Ireland.
The afternoon sees rain pushing eastwards through Ireland, together with those strong winds. Most of eastern Ireland and Britain will be staying dry with sunny spells, although still that isolated shower risk in the east. Cross-Channel conditions remain god with sunny spells as cloud increases in eastern Ireland.
Winds mainly S-SSW 12-14kt (F3-F4) but increasing S 25kt (F6) with gusts in excess of this through Ireland, strongest in the west.



SUNDAY
=======
A front clears eastern England on Sunday morning, although it may be early afternoon before it clears northern Scotland. A blustery west to southwest flow follows, most unstable in Ireland and western Scotland.
Rain in Scotland and eastern England on Sunday morning, this clearing quickly eastwards, although lasting until early afternoon in northern Scotland.
Much brighter weather will be affecting Ireland, this sunshine quickly into Wales, southwest Scotland and western England.
Blustery showers will be developing in the afternoon, although these tending to be short lived in most of England, Wales and Ireland, although a few heavy ones, possibly thundery may be affecting western and southern Scotland and the far northwest of England.
Tending to be remaining dry with good spells in sunshine in Southern England through the afternoon with reasonable cross-Channel conditions too.
Winds becoming WSW-SW 15-20kt (F5) overall.
