Primarily for general aviation discussion, but other aviation topics are also welcome.

Quarantine wasn’t needed when we had so many cases a few more coming off aircraft didn’t make any difference apparently, now the volume might be more relatively significant but we don’t have effective test track isolate we put ‘em in quarantine which stops ‘em coming.

So basically while the pandemic is raging out of control international travel is fine but now things are coming under control it isn’t

Careful what you wish for, you haven’t seen his potential replacement, could easily be actively hostile to Aviation.

I thought that was the current Government as a whole - “We won’t spend money on an industry, but you’ll get 2 billion for bike routes”.

It’s the year 2030:

The Ribbon is cut on the completed Gatwick Garden City, modern housing for a new generation.

At Heathrow, Air France have opened their new Superterminal, where the one remaining runway launches or receives an Air France A320 every 2 minutes to their newly built “U.K. link runway” at Paris CDG.

Similar flights leave regional airports around the U.K., converging on Paris, wearing the Air France insignia.

At last, following the demise of BA and Virgin due to the 5 year Coronavirus Pandemic (which mysteriously only lasted 6 months in the rest of the world), Britain is connected to the world once again!

You expect a potential replacement who isn’t an active PPL and passionate about grass roots aviation to be better for our hobby?

Would be ironic if he gets sacked for finally backing the airports/airlines. His performance has been very poor during the pandemic, airports were speechless that he was the first minister to publicly state that ‘I certainly won’t be booking a summer holiday’.

Jobs are a slightly more important factor than our hobby, and Shapps hasn’t done a thing to protect the Aviation industry. Self interest and toadying up to the Blonde Buffoon we have as Prime Minister is his priority.
