The excellent Wessex helicopter return to flight effort at
Historic Helicopters in Somerset is one of the featured projects.

Was it you in the cafe at Caernarfon last summer (late May)? Some weirdo (me) came up and asked you about this a/c that just landed, asking if it was a cub?
TBH after that I developed quite a soft spot for the Aeronca.

@JulietTango no that wasn't me, this Defender only flew again in October after an extended bare-frame rebuild. Back in May in the UK there were two active military-scheme Aeroncas, an L3 Defender now itself on a rebuild, and a beautifully restored Korean war L16. Delighted to hear you've a soft spot for Aeroncas - I can only recommend you indulge it!
