Being involved in a lot of (failed?) companies is a hallmark of an entrepeneur. Some eventually succeed, and then hold talks about how important it is to allow oneself to fail. Others never succeed and get scorned by people who don't know them. Sometimes the difference is capability, sometimes it's just luck.
Without knowing anything more about the young gentleman than what I can learn from the newspaper article and the fact that he's been director of several small businesses, I'm not prepared to stand in judgement.
