Holy flying locust, Batman, they are engines, not drop tanks!!! Driver seems to be enjoying himself, even if he is sitting on the wrong side... Where's his flag man?

I used to think it was just a fixed-wing pilots' joke that helicopters could only fly because they were so ugly the planet repelled them .. then I saw this "thing" ...

While helicopter PIC is right side in most helicopters, there are several that have left-side PIC for reasons due to primary uses such long-lining (MD500) or scenic flight with tourists (EC135). The former so you're not leaning away from the collective when looking down/out the door; the latter to keep PAX away from the collective.

Applications of around 200 kgs/ha aren’t uncommon, and if the field is too wet for a tractor to travel, it kind of makes sense.

Application accuracy is critical though, or his overlaps will result in crops that will go flat, and his underlaps will not yield.

Unless perhaps it’s Phosphate or Potash fertiliser, in which case he can put that on at any time of year, so the helicopter then seems to be overkill if that’s the case.
