As of the 1st March Gloucestershire Airport will be introducing mandatory high visibility PPE whilst in airside locations.
It is important to reiterate that we do not want the life and soul to be taken away, we recognise the base we provide are grass routes aviation and that
if you are expected to don a high viz at other airfields we would like to reflect industry.
It is a requirement but is a case of slowly but surely overtime promote the expectation. We look for support form those based here.
The question was asked about there being a 2:1 ratio. Yes, as long as one in your party is wearing a high viz then happy for you to be classed as their
We are here to promote good common sense, it is best practice in industry so we should take note of that.
It was advised to the group by an attendee that the reason high viz was introduced as industry best practice was when a pushback agent was killed
in dark weather at one of the London airports.
We rely on our operators to support this and help bring in the change.
