Kind of reminds me of Chris Freeman's Jack Russell which used to sit on its chair in the hut at Headcorn 'guarding' everything on the table , which included the odd magneto , altimeter ,,,,,etc.
I remember pointing to an old altimeter on the desk , remarking that I was looking for 'one of them'. To which Chris replied ; " you'd best not touch that". Upon which , the Jack Russell sounded a 'warning' growl.

Bloody thing would bite you if you didn't pay your landing fee .

Then bite you again when you did.....

I rather liked Jeremy Clarkson's comment when reviewing some Volvo a few years ago:

"There's a very undesirable feature in this car", he commented, demonstrating how the rear set centre arm rest could be turned into a child seat, "This is appalling. Because as everyone knows, children should be locked in a soundproof steel trunk bolted to the floor of the boot...."

Pausing to let this sink in, he continued "That was a joke. No need to write in, I wasn't being serious - it was a joke!".

I do see your point Pete, and there are too many inconsiderate dog owners out there, but the numbers are dwarfed by inconsiderate parents with children making a nuisance of themselves.

Country pubs.... I'll take an inquisitive dog over a shrieking child any day of the week

I'm sure little Max is lovely though

PS: In dog owner bullshit "He's not normally like this" translates as "this is exactly how he is all the time but training him is too much time & effort for me".

Last week SWMBO was invited to have a glass of wine in the sun with next door neighbours who had visitors. Visitors advised their dog is happy to be friends with new people, but let it come to you, in its own time. Had I been present there is a good chance I would have pointed out their assumption that I wanted to be friends with their dog required re thinking.

He'd be fine down to 200' agl as it was a CAT I approach.

Our dog Basil (Cocker Spaniel) likes nothing more than a quick cross country nimble. He has a seatbelt in the back and just thinks it’s another noisy car...

Dog friendly airfields include Oxford, Lands End, Bodmin, Kemble, Caernarfon and, er.... Brize Norton (emergency divert due bomb scare at Oxford). He got to visit the tower and was Guest of Honour.

It’s a new concept which I have never considered. We’ve always owned ours outright.

Do the rates include things like vets fees, grooming etc?

(I know, this is gonna cost me )
