I love that Brittany Ferries are one of the sponsors; well done to them :thumleft:

N341A has made it as far as INV today so should arrive at Duxford tomorrow.

It's a star turn looking at their website
https://www.goldenageairtours.com/n341a

The story and pictures remind me of the 4* General's executive B25 in Catch 22 :D

N341A. I was watching it on FR24 coming down from Inverness and the groundspeed seemed unusually low. Do Classic Air Force still have maintenance at Coventry?

I am hoping that my home might be under the route for when the DC3s fly from Duxford to Normandy. Have the route and timings been published. Will there be a NOTAM?

We also tried to visit, booking for Saturday on the Friday but wasn’t to be.

Anyway....Visited today wearing my ‘Plane Savers’ T-Shirt.... . We went into Fowlmere and managed to cadge a lift over with a kind gent, the walk back in the heat was quite hard, but made somewhat more pleasant by the sound and views of warbirds doing their stuff.

Fantastic collection of C47 and DC3’s - watched a 9ship formation take off and go overhead - chatted with crews...
Oh and met Alan E in the Tower.

Duxford :thumleft:

Ridders,

The route on Wednesday passes about 5 nm east of Deanland.

If anyone wants to see some of the action from Saturday, I’ve bunged up a little video here. Includes the airborne museum, which was really good and of course linked to the dak’s.

Guessing the link changes periodically -Try:

http://www.nats-uk.ead-it.com/public/in ... id=59.html

Or a search for ‘AIC Mauve’ should get you the page with M037/2019 which has the information you seek.
