Looking at SkyDemon this morning there seems to be an airspace grab (Class D - 2,500' to FL65) from the Goodwood VOR (GWC) in to an extended area of Class D (Surface - 5,500') around Farnborough.

I wouldn't have noticed, but for the fact that when well zoomed out it looked as if so someone was doing rude tracks in the sky.....

What is your definition of an airspace grab??

Perfectly normal procedure iaw AIC Y101/2018 from 1230 to 1330.
Nothing sinister or unusual about it. I've never seen Skydemon but it's all adequately explained on the AIS published NOTAMs.

Tim's post above is a very good sales argument for his product. :thumleft: Official information is on a format from seventy years ago, Skydemon presents it a tiny bit more modern.

I've noticed similar temporary restricted areas on Skydemon before. Sure: I would have seen them on NOTAM but in a graphical form I immediately see if I'm affected or not.

So “airspace grab” means variously;

New CTRs at Southend/Norwich,
Exeter trying to join the airway with a CTR but also a well established, AIP promulgated temporal airspace for a short period.?
