CAP413 is the UK standard that we are all supposed to follow. I did not give an opinion of whether I agree/disagree with any particular part of it. For many years people have been moaning on here and at airfields about generally poor GA R/T standards, so encouraging people to re-standardise by reading CAP413 again to break old habits is not entirely a bad thing.

If the radio skills of the GA community is as bad as has been implied here, then electing to do a tailwind landing to avoid the setting sun seems like a horrible idea: what if you meet someone going the other way? Sure: with the sun in your back you might see him, but still...
