@flybymike Yes, the did that in Summer, but left it as 'FCL requirements now less onerous' - which they were as they didn't mention a maximum of 3 flights, but the announcement in the Summer didn't do anything to say that they had flipped on the ambiguity... that was announced last week.

I heard about this during the examiner refresher course last week.

I can see where this does reinstate flexibility. Previously when it was down to 1 hour with one instructor there could be many small flights with instructors that were not able to be counted eg, circuit check flights etc.

At least with the new interpretation these small dual flights can be included within the hour and with the last flight to be signed off by instructor of the flight.

At the end of the day you can always revert to an examiner for the revalidation.
