Hi all. I’m trying to remember the name of a single engine piston type. I think it is/was French built. Tricycle retractable undercarriage and I seem to remember there was some weird connection between flap and gear. There used to be a group based around one of these at Rochester.

Yes, raising or lowering the gear did the same to the flaps as I recall.

I flew the ex-Court Line one and could never separate the right hand circular motion from the left hand keep the pitch level lack of motion.

I think the word weird applied to the pilot in this case.

A proper 4 seater I believe. Decent cruise speed. A nice aeroplane in many respects.

Unfortunately of the 7 registered in UK only 4 are flying !

Quite a few more in Europe but they only made 278 incl prototypes

Noticed that, but the grounded ones were on Full Fat (sorry CAT) certs?

Be a shame, as one can use to Permit route, not to see an enlarged fleet.

Damage has grounded 4 of them and apart from my own there are no others on PtF - I dont know why, but do know one other who is making preparations to migrate to a PtF. Its mostly paperwork and £££, but it pays for itself after 2 annuals.

Is G-BKNI still in a derelict state at Bourn? Last I heard it belonged to someone who had sadly passed away and it was just sitting there on flat tyres with the bottom cowling off

Been there, done that !!!!

Eventually it ended up with another Gardan Owner as I already owned a scrapper.

G-BKNI - one of the later ones had sadly been left out, after the death of one of the owners, for so long without any maintenance that is just rotted away.

I had negotiated to buy it to rebuild, but the wings were so bad it didnt warrant repairing, so it went for spares.
