There is a strip about five miles east of Preston - just south of N. Luffenham disused.
Google Earth (N52d 37m 01s : W 000d 36m 14s) shows it as about 450m E/W, but when I last looked the other week it it has possibly been extended since the most recent image.
Sorry, I do not know the landowner hence no contact details available, but I would be interested in finding out if anyone knows who's strip it is?
Or, Spanhoe or Shaklewell might work perhaps (details for both on Skydemon or in VFR flight guides)

The one south of Rutland Water, 1 mile to the north east of N. Luffenham, is Shacklewell (in the Wittering zone). R24/06 128.375mHz (might have changed to accommodate 8.33kHz spacing) 700m x 18m grass. It's Rutland not Leceistershire, no where near Preston though. It's on the west side of the cement works.
