Still, only 1.5 manhours to replace all the spar bolts and nuts and/or 32 manhours to change the spar apparently not withstanding the parts availability- I'm with Lockhaven on this

Who in UK does 'Eddy Current inspections'? I'm not clear on the timeframe for when this needs done? And from my reading this is a proposed AD and not being enforced yet?

There are various people, not many, but there are a few. My Bulldog needs both spar and gear lug eddy current testing.

2Excel Engineering do, as one example.

I used to have mine done at Lasham by ATC, but when they went bust and were taken over by 2Excel, the price more than doubled, so I went somewhere else.

Out of interest, What would the inspection be likely to cost? PA28s seem to cost from about £15K upwards so at what point do the values of engine, prop and avionics effectively scrap the airframe?
