I'm not sure how many of you are interested in aircraft history, but just a heads-up that the late Paul Allen's FHCAM are well down the road to restoring a Stuka to flight.
It should be quite something to see.

I've wanted to see one flying ever since, as a kid, I had one of those die-cast models with the detachable bomb underneath.

Can you still run around in circles making the screaming noise Paul?

Standby, I'll check.
I think I still have the aeroplane in the loft somewhere, but the bomb has long been lost, as has the canopy.

If Paul can’t still make the screaming noise, I can. I just have to think about my maintenance bills
P.S. It will be very cool to see a Stuka fly

Let's all club together and buy it for him. He's obviously hard up! Poor thing.

Had a gander at the one at the RAF Museum Hendon in the summer.
They are HUGE, massive muscular things. Very impressive. Quite Jurassic.
The ME109 , Spit and Hurri on display are surprisingly petite.

Well, as long as the forum says I should...
I'd better see if I can find the rest of the aeroplane first.
Anyway, what are the timescales estimated to get the aeroplane flying?

not sure my ageing mother who lived in London during the war will be too keen to see or rather hear it, I recall she threw a wobbly when I played a record that used an air raid siren as the intro!
