I've very recently been involved in fitting a two-blade MT electric VP prop to an 0-200 on an LAA permit machine.......I think it was MT's first on a small Continental :shock: despite their sales talk.

But anyway, it all seems to be OK now with LAA approval imminent.

Thanks. Did it need any new major items or could all be overhauled and re-used? Big new items can have a significant effect on the cost.

Who did you get to do the work?

Am I right in presuming that you're happy with the quality?

Recently internally inspected - April 2017.
(Inhibiting has ensured there is no internal corrosion)

Full history from new - Log books. Total hours 2143. Last used in August 1975.
Zero hour overhaul by Brian Mills 2008. Licence D release.
All paperwork available.
Inhibited (ESO oil) and stored indoors (underfloor heating).
Recent internal inspection by engineer - perfect condition.
New pistons, rings,valves, guides etc. All invoices to validate.
Mechanical fuel pump.
Carburettor and mags overhauled with new parts.
New B&C lightweight alternator.
New B&C lightweight starter.
New spin on oil filter head.
New hot air box.
Evra prop (small repair required on trailing edge)

New camshaft and recon crank. New pistons, cylinders, all accessories, new starter and generator.

We had a knackered C90 core so bought it as a replacement unit.

It looks great. When we finally get to attach it to the project I’ll let you know :thumleft:
