If it's any help, I've got an old A65 out of a Cub in my workshop in bits. The logbook shows 5000hrs and it hadn't been looked after that well in recent years.
The crank is original and has not been ground and the big end journals are only just out of useable tolerance. The big end shells are end of life though! The mains are okay.
Whilst I know yours would have been thrashed much harder, what this old A65 does demonstrate is that "on condition" can mean more than just a few hours over!
