Polish visitors to JAM, of whom we have many (possibly the largest non-anglophone set), all know about 303 Sqn. Far fewer know about the several Poles in 501 (County of Gloucester)Sqn RAuxAF, who were, I believe, the first Poles in action in BoB, before 303 was declared operational. They replenished 501 ranks after its losses in Battle of France. The JAM display on 501, around our Hurricane in 501 markings (Squadron letters 'SD'), includes a group photo with several Polish names. It also includes an image, from a cigarette card series of BoB Aces, of Toni Glowacki of 501:
