Anyone know what "COR" means at the start of this METAR?

It means corrected although I’ve never seen one in real life to know what it is that’s being corrected.

Edit. Beat me to it.

We get more at EGJJ than before as our METARs are now Partly Automated and corrected by the tower assistant who is a qualified met observer. Sometimes the automatic reporting is not entirely accurate so a manual correction is entered.

What bemuses me more is reported visibility of more than 10k but just 1200m at the touchdown zone of R16 with no additional info as to the cause such as fog or smoke etc.....

Then why not add HZ to the METAR?

That's another question, at what point do FU, HZ, BR, FG and so need to be added to a METAR? Or are they just supplementary, added at the discretion of the meteorologist making the report?

So just a bit of thread drift:

Who would want to land down wind then?
