Sorry. Getting mixed up with Richard Todd in "The Longest Day", in which he played the commander of the Advance Party holding Pegasus Bridge!

Indeed. There is apparently a point where Todd, acting the part of Major Howard, leader of the glider assault team that took the bridges, talks directly to the actor playing Richard Todd, a member of Lovatt's relieving force.
