I’ve been experimenting with the traffic display now on a small iPhone 5S which is a good size for eye-line mounting on the top of the coaming. I wanted to see what 2 or 3 simultaneous targets looked like and, again, I was very impressed with this clean decluttered display.
First Aircraft - with audio and visual warning.
Second aircraft - with only visual warning.
Third aircraft - with only a visual warning, however, when the first 2 aircraft pass then the third generates an audio warning.
I think this is great, but as ever, I do have some suggestions for the SkyDemon Team (@Tim Dawson )
1. Could we add a small numeric 3-digit track from the GPS. That way, as a heads up display then monitoring your aircraft track would be useful so that you don’t need to keep going heads-down to check it on a tablet?
2. Could you put the Traffic Display function on the SkyDemon Light version? That way we wouldn’t have to keep logging on and off the other iOS devices due to the ‘no more than 2 iPad/iPhone rule’.
3. As this Traffic Display is likely to be used on smartphones with limited battery life, could you add the phone battery percentage in the top right?
All finesse suggestions that would make life that little bit easier in my humble opinion. Keep up the good work!
