As the days get longer, where is a good airfield to visit with family and friends that has a cafe that doesnt close at ridiculous time like 1530 or 1600 local (as most do.. grumble..)

Depends where you are! Headcorn has an off field Bar/Restaurant open till late and serves reasonable grub.

Sleap in Shropshire is opening the cafe on Thursday evenings for the summer. Often a bunch of us fly over for our tea from Welshpool.

Barton's Runway 26 Cafe Bar could be a good destination. Unfortunately, their microsite only lists winter opening hours.

On second thoughts, bearing in mind the weather today for their Centenary Fly-In, maybe it's still winter oop north.

Gloucester is open til 19:30 local (summer) and The Aviator is open past that time every evening.

Cranfield has eateries open all day and evening, just unfortunately the airport closes at 6:30.

I saw a notice at the weekend saying that the Propeller Inn at Bembridge is now under new management. That might be worth a try?

Leicester negative - at least it was that way last time I went there. Phoned in advance to check, they said it was open. Turned up, stopped serving food at 3 or something.

Sywell ok for Saturday evening, but they don't serve food on Sunday evening.
