Two days of flyable weather in succession. Flew last night for an hour and a bit of glorious calm sky, all to myself.
Today, they had cottoned on and everybody at my strip had skived off early, sent the wife off shopping or found an urgent reason to be off the radar. The tractor paused mowing as somebody else flew off and the gang stood around bantering, talking aviation and generally enjoying the afternoon. I flew another hour and thereby flew my aircraft more time so far this year than all of last year. Good times! Relaxing with a beer tonight and I don't care if thunder is given for tomorrow's met! This week has been a good one.

For some reason lots of people seem to be able to take Fridays off to go flying. I believe Waltham even have a Friday fly-out? I know a few forumites who seem to fly off somewhere to meet up for lunch on a Friday!

Don't forget a lot of people still have early finish on Fridays.
The company I currently work with finishes at 1pm on Fridays.

Going by the drop in road traffic on Fridays, with employees 'WFH'. Friday's are quickly becoming part of the new weekend for some.

Ah, just wait until you retire. I find I am doing so much that I wonder how I managed to fit in any work.
And I still don't fly any more than I did.......
