you would run the risk that the legality of supervised solo could be brought into question either in the event of an accident, MOR or acceptance towards the total PIC time needed for rating issue.
Surely in the whole history of time since the Wright bothers first took to the air, this eventuality would have become apparent long before now.
The fact that some particular individual at the CAA has suddenly made this unsubstantiated utterance after all this time hardly lends it credibility.
