I wouldn't read too much into those responses. It's how our internal email system works; moving email sent by external addresses from a collective email account does tend to send out that deleted notification, especially if you're saving an attachment on a SharePoint site or similar.

It happens with the collective account I monitor.

I think it's related to the seetings the indiviual has on their own account, in that one can set not to send 'email read' notifications, even if the sender has requested them. If those read notifcations aren't being sent, it sometimes sends a deleted notifcation with the 'unread' status, even though it has been read.

Also, is it good form to put names on a public forum without their consent?

For information : I contacted NATS who confirmed by email that they could not locate the copy of my submitted form and invited me to re-submit, this time to a different address to the one on the actual form.
