That was the sort of hit I kept getting when I searched earlier.

I was off work yesterday but heard of this when our aircraft was given a five hour slot delay. They weren't going to Biggin but those who were had to divert causing a knock on.

Well if a PC-12 ran your foot over you wouldn't call it light  And it's a turbo-prop engine too. :)

I think he was trying to differentiate between an incident involving a PC12 being potentially brushed aside, and any similar incident involving an SEP being used as ammo to ban them.
I don’t think he thought a PC12 was an SEP?

Some arrivals were held for a short while.

Vino.

I was gonna say, how can an aircraft with such a low landing speed overrun an 1800 odd metre runway?
If it wasn't far from touchdown, any ATC unit worth its pay would still get departures away by declaring a reduced TORA.(As long as they could get away with it; no doubt Biggin's 'enlighted' management would soon put a stop to that)

A Learjet landing at Redhill, probably on the 'taxiway' runway?

I believe a ‘Whoooooooossssshhhhhhh’ might be appropriate here.

There was a decent headwind that day, no drama.
