I finally got airborne for a nimble round the South East on Saturday afternoon. Beautiful weather, keeping an extra good lookout as I knew it would be very busy, and I was on my own.

Rounding Beachy Head, I reflected on the number of people out walking along the cliff edge, glanced down and spotted my shadow on the waves. Aah .... nice.

Then I realised the shadow was pointing the wrong way. Fortunately I was at 1500 feet and the opposite direction traffic was at least 1000 feet immediately below. Still scary ...

Lookout lookout lookout.
