Hi all,

For the day job I'm developing a PC flight simulator focused on Backcountry / Bush flying. The game takes place in a fictional location drawing heavily from locations such as Idaho and Alaska. Many of the destinations will be off airport, however we do intend to include some larger hub airports and navaids.

I'm wondering how to best go about allocating frequencies for these? I could just pluck numbers out of thin air within relevant frequency ranges but I'm wondering if there are any rules/standards for Com, Nav and NDB frequency allocation? ( Other than an obvious requirement not to step on anyone else using the same frequency? ) Is there any other logic to the frequencies we commonly use?

Any wisdom very welcome!
