Having known that this was John and his student since last week, has been devastating for all involved.

John was my instructor from day one and made me the pilot I am today. He was funny, patient and a brilliant pilot.

We had an impromptu get-together at Coventry Aeros with friends, family and pilots alike to share stories yesterday. Great to see such a great turnout.

I do hope we get answers. Blue skies to them both.

Sadly we are all mere mortals; Johns death and all those before him are testament to that as I well know from losing many friends and colleagues during the last 3 years.

Absolutely gutted. John sent me on my first solo.

He was one of the nicest people I ever met.

The Funeral will be held at 1200 on Friday 2nd February at St Catherine’s Church, Chipping Campden followed by the Crematorium at 1400, Oakley Wood, Bishops Tachbrook, Leamington Spa CV33 9QP
