I've just sadly seen an obituary for Captain Keith Sissons, whom I will always think of as "Mr UK Flying Boat & Seaplane" as well as remembering all the times I saw him display Sally B .

I flew with him once, when I thought I might afford getting checked out in a Tiger Moth. A quiet, unassuming man, he will be missed greatly.

Did my TW conversion with him at Headcorn nearly 20 years ago - learned a lot and had a ball doing it. He will indeed be missed.

I flew with him twice at Headcorn as well in the Cub about 12 years ago - lovely bloke and great story teller, the sort I can listen to for hours. I found out that he used to fly Herons from Gatwick in the sixties when I used to sit on the south finger there watching the few movements in those days - so then he started reeling off the 100+ items on the t/o checklist for the Heron from memory!
