High pressure extends across the country bringing a fair day overall. Plenty of sunshine. A chance of local showers
around coasts near the Dover Strait in the morning. Fronts moving in from the Atlantic will push rain across Ireland,
which will encroach onto western coasts of Britain into the night.
Starting chilly, with a touch of frost in rural northern areas. Top temperatures 17 to 22C, warmest in the south-east.
Winds variable or NE F2-F3 (5-10kt) in south-east, local sea breezes F4 (11-15kt); S F4-F5 (15-20kt) west & north,
strengthening through day to later F6-F7 (20-30kt) Irish Sea & south-west, gusting gale force near coasts into the night.

SUNDAY
------------
Not as cold on Saturday night, as cloud thickens from the west and winds strengthen, lows 8 to 12C.
For Sunday daytime, eastern Britain is likely to stay dry and fairly warm with hazy sunshine. The far north of Scotland
should also escape dry. Fronts moving into western areas brings cloud and outbreaks of rain - this may turn heavy for
many hours in the south-west, where an inch or more of rain is possible. Showers following across Ireland.
Daytime temperatures up to 23C in East Anglia, 18 to 21C elsewhere, but cooler in rain.
Winds S-SE F5-F7 (20-30kt), strongest south-west and English Channel; later veering SW F4-F5 (15-20kt) in far south-
west.
