So still struggling to arrange this. I’m hoping emergence from recent lockdown will make it more feasible.

Maybe I need to take smaller bite of the elephant and find a High performance (201HP or more) aircraft with an FAA instructor and then a complex type with less horsepower (eg an arrow) again with an FAA instructor.

It seems like flying schools with FAA instructors are more the limiting factor.

I am in the South East but willing to travel.

There’s a retractable 182 at Denham but no instructors.

Seems a PA32 fixed gear at Oxford, again not sure there’s FAA instructors.

There was an Arrow at Elstree.

Can anyone point me to the magic combination(s).

@PupFlyer, it may be worth contacting various FAA CFIs and seeing if they have access to a suitable aircraft. I have used Brian Hamilton at Thruxton for BFRs and he has a twin Barron which could be used to get a complex / high performance sign off (I’m guessing that when using a MEP with two engines would count as a SEP sign off for the reasons you need). He may well have access to a suitable SEP too.

I can PM you his contact details, if needed.
