WEEKEND WEATHER FORECAST
==========================

Issued: 1100 hrs, Thursday 15th September 2016

SATURDAY
-------------
Low pressure to the east of East Anglia on Saturday with a ridge of high pressure building through most of the country. A warm front passes close to northwest Scotland.
A rather cloudy and damp day in East Anglia and the far southeast. There is much uncertainty over how extensive rain and low cloud are, and how far west it extends. It may be that the eastern Midlands also suffer from some lower cloud and rain. Keep an eye on the latest forecast.
Elsewhere the day is far and bright. There will be some decent spells of sunshine developing, although some cloud could shroud western hills at first.
Western parts of Scotland may be fuller too with the proximity of the warm front bringing a few spots of drizzle to western coasts and hills.
Winds N-NW 15-20kt (F4-F5) in East Anglia and the southeast, mainly W-NW 10-12kt (F3-F4) for most other areas, but SW 18-25kt (F6) in western Scotland and the far west of Ireland later.

SUNDAY
-----------
A weak occluded front finally clears the far southeast of England on Sunday/ A shallow area of low pressure to the west of Scotland associated with a front edging eastwards. This is a generally weak feature but waves running along it may bring a few moderate pulses of rain.
It is going to be a mostly fair day for most areas, although mist and fog patches during the morning. Thicker cloud and rain affecting western Ireland and the west of Scotland, some of this turning heavy at times.
Winds mostly N 10-12kt (F3-F4) in the southeast, SW 12-15kt (F4) for many, SW 18-25kt (F5-F6) in the far north of England, much of Scotland and Ireland.
