The only shred of good news is that, before issuing the outline permission ,the Council has to refer it to the Secretary of State (Michael Gove) because it is viewed to be inappropriate development in the Green belt and over 1000SM in size. I believe the SoS can then choose to call in the application and may hold a public inquiry. Every effort right now needs to be focussed on getting the application called in. There would still be no guarantee of success but a least the decision making would be taken away from local politicians in Warwick District Council which is frankly ill equipped to deal with a proposal of this magnitude. I'm sure Grant Shapps could have some influence on the call in procedure.
