7th May, Duxford VE Day flying day.

Is it practical to have a Flyer student and mentor meet up? We would need event tickets, £30pp. Expect they'll sell out fairly quickly so it does require a small advanced commitment.

A proposal for a pre-Christmas drinks and meal in central London. It will probably take the old format of drinks at De Hems followed by a meal at Gerrard's Corner, China Town. We missed out on this annual event last year.

@T6Harvard made a suggestion that all the students (and other) could meet up at the Duxford which sounds a good idea, not sure for the pilots here whether you can fly in but you can certainly drive there.

LAA Andover Strut are pleased to announce the return of their Annual Barton Ashes Fly-in and BBQ at Barton Ashes Airfield, nr Winchester.

This will be held on Sunday 29th August, BBQ available from 1230’ish’, or bring your own food/drink....

This year both the LAA Rally and aero expo are asking for payment when booking slots, with no refund if you are unable to fly in due to the weather.
With the British climate I find this unacceptable. I have written to the LAA who state that this is...

I'd just like to tell you about a little fly in that we are having at East Durham Microlights. The fly in is Saturday 10th July, 9.30 opening until 6 pm, these tickets are free but you must get them online, everything is about numbers....

Anyone participating?

As we haven't eaten out since March we shall be dressing up in finest ballgown / DJ and enjoying the evening via YouTube.
We have even sent for the dinner party box to add to the atmosphere.

.. :) , but with restrictions. Obviously, fly-ins (welcome) also depend on Staverton rules, which I believe still include PPR for non-based arrivals. Also, Twy R to the Museum is off 09/27, which is still, I believe, the only one available....

A Grumman Fly-ln is taking place at Bonn-Hangelar.. customs are available and if people fuel up at Lydd then its doable for most aircraft.
Other aircraft can take part, but if you're lucky enough to have a Grumman you get a free landing and...
