When people write the title of their fly-ins, please can they add a date too? It makes it so much easier to look down the list to see what's on that particular weekend, rather than having to open them all.

Wednesday 9th April to Saturday 12th April. Hopefully, the weather will be a little more conducive to flying down again (unlike this year). The usual hotel booked in Meersburg.

As a frequent visitor and ex-resident of EGHS I'm just putting it out there that they have a new coffee shop open in the week. It's been a bit of a desert M-F last couple of years but this is lovely and makes it a destination for weekday visits!...

I dropped into Cardiff today and the lovely CWI Ops staff gave me the following flyer to distribute:

Thruxton airfield is happy to announce that circuits at Thruxton will be free for a short period from Monday the 8th of May until Sunday the 28th of May as long as a landing fee is paid. Prices subject to MTOW. Cafe and fuel will be available....

Last year’s event was a great success, with over 300 aircraft.

Bar, food, camping, toilets, showers and entertainment were all good, as well as the great flying displays.

The Welshpool town’s 1940’s weekend is taking place this year 27th-29th September.

The airport are having a fly-in on the 28th, with shuttle bus to the town centre and free landings for pre-1950’s aircraft.

Kurusha is proud to announce the opening of a brand new flying school and club at Thruxton airport. We’re starting with one very tidy PA28 and four instructors, and will be running it largely as non-profit so as to keep costs as low as possible....

Sadly the title says it all. The lousy forecast has put paid to our plans but we hope for a better outcome for our Dunkeswell event on Sat. 3rd August.

Jasmine has joined the committee at the Jersey Aero Club and is starting to look at flying events.

Fly-in to East Kirkby airfield and see the Lancaster taxi at 11:00, 13:30 and 16:00hrs , plus all the normal Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre collection of aircraft and vehicles.

Once again the Andover Strut of the LAA are holding its Annual Fly-In and BBQ at Barton Ashes airstrip near Winchester. Date is August 25th from 1230 onwards.
